NBA Minors
The NBA announced a couple of days ago that the NBDL (National Basketball Development League) is going to be like the minor leagues for basketball. Basically what they did is assign about four teams to each of the franchises in the NBDL and they can drop up to two players from their team into the NBDL for a year or two to develop some of their guys. The best part about it is that while a player is dropped to the NBDL they still make their NBA salary and benefits. Only in America!
While on the topic of basketball, the Sunday league starts up again this week and we play Blue Demons at 4. Should be a good game as they get to rematch us for the first time since we came back from a 20 point third quarter deficit to beat them by 10. I believe the Friday league starts next week, so basketball posts will be starting up again. Unfortunately as of right now there is only 4 teams in the Sunday league, but we’re good sports and we are going to play anyway.
