Today marks the start of the Friday night league once again. We’re bringing the same squad back that we had last season (sans George who is in college) and we’re hoping to make more of a splash this time. As I posted after we lost in the championship game last season, it’s either championship or bust this time around. I was hoping to bring Chris from our Sunday league along with us to help on the boards and just in general to have another big body that can bang but he has yet to call me so I’m thinking I’ll have to wait till I talk to him on Sunday to see what the deal is. Anyway, we’re playing Money Shot tonight (formerly known as Regulators) and we’ve only lost to the once about two years ago when we had our original team in the league (which was MUCH weaker than what we have now). Should still be a good game as they always put up a good fight, but I fully expect to come away 1-0 when all is said and done.

On Sunday we’re playing a team that has no name listed on the schedule but in my very honest opinion, and not to be arrogant or anything, is not up to par with the other teams in the league. If all goes according to plan, we’ll be on a 3 game winning streak come Monday morning.

A big shout out to Matt Stone who is celebrating his 23rd birthday tonight (you old hag!).
