Stealth & Shopping
Went to see Stealth tonight (when most people read this, it’ll probably be last night already). I have to say, I was pretty pleased with it. Jamie Foxx always plays a character that you get used to liking and you don’t want to see die (spoiler ahead). Therefore, I was very surprised to see that he died quite fast in this movie, which kind of (in an awkward way) made it even better. You normally don’t get to see one of the lead roles killed off so fast, especially after they just won an Oscar.
Anyway, aside from the cheesy beginning where they show the friendship of the three pilots (I guess it was necessary to convey how they felt about each other), it was a pretty damn good movie. It was a nice change of pace from normal flight movies (or movies in general, for that matter) to see them interact with a machine like that and to see how the AI of the machine progressed. I don’t know, hard to explain, but I liked it. I’d give it probably a 3.5 out of 5 (but I’m a pretty harsh critic).
Before Jessica and I saw the movie, however, we went to the mall. It was about 8:30 CST and we were at a store called Brookstone, which is basically a Sharper Image. If you don’t know either of those, it’s a store with new gadgets and widgets alike. Anyway, I was walking around looking at the selection and I stumbled upon an alarm clock. This wasn’t just any alarm clock, it was labeled “the most advanced alarm clock available” (no joke). So I read the little label about it and blah blah blah, then proceeded to look at it. The time said 10:30 CST. Way to go, dumbasses.

didn’t the alarm clock say “the most ACCURATE alarm clock available”? and that’s why it was funny cuz the time was wrong?

advanced, accurate, whatever. you get the idea

WELL, if it said “advanced” then the clock showing 10:30 would make some sense because it was 2 hours ahead of what the time really was, which was 8:30.
this really has no significance to anything worth anyone’s time. i just love correcting you when i get a chance. =D
